Not Into Wine And Champagne? How To Throw The Perfect Craft Beer New Year's Eve Party

Posted on

If you thought New Year's Eve parties were all about the wine, mixed drinks, and champagne, you were wrong. If you're more of a beer person, this is probably good news. One of the great things about New Year's Eve parties is that they can be about anything you want them to be. If you're idea of a great party is a night filled with good friends and plenty of craft beer, it's time to get started on the plans for your New Year's Eve craft beer party. Here are four simple tips to help you get started.

Make it Relaxing

If you're going to throw a craft beer party this year, you've got to get the atmosphere right. You and your friends won't be dressed in your finest while holding crystal champagne glasses; you'll be enjoying a friendly evening of beer drinking. To ensure that everyone has a good time, make it relaxing. Set up an inviting area filled with plenty of comfortable chairs, and then throw a few pillows on the floor. This will ensure that everyone can get together and relax for the evening.

Give Them a Little

If your friends aren't all aficionados of craft beers, you'll need to start them out slow. Be prepared for the fact that some of your friends won't like all the beers you have on hand, which is fine. You'll want to start out the evening giving them each a little sample of everything you have. Bring out the small disposable cups, or even shot glasses, and pour samples of each craft beer you've provided. This will allow your friends to take a small sip at first. If they like it, they can finish the sample. If they don't, they can toss it down the drain and move on to the next. The initial samples will ensure that your craft beer isn't wasted.

Give Them More

Once everyone has sampled your wares and chosen their favorites, it'll be time for you to break out the beer steins, pilsner glasses, and mugs. Your friends will appreciate the fact that you passed on the disposable red solo cups and brought out the fine glassware for your craft beer New Year's Eve party. If your friends prefer to drink their beer straight out of the bottle, that's fine, too.

Don't Forget the Food

If you're throwing the best craft beer New Year's Eve party ever, you can't forget the food. Your friends are going to get hungry after drinking all that delicious craft beer. Be sure to leave out plenty of bowls of pretzels, peanuts, and chips. If you want, you can also order a few pizzas throughout the night to keep the party in a festive mood.
